About Healthy Mainer
Healthy Mainer is an independent health and wellness publication for people who live in Maine and New Hampshire. We write about the research, the seasons, and the local life that shape how Northern New Englanders stay well.
Why we exist
Good health information is hard to find under all the noise. National wellness sites rarely account for life at 44 degrees north, where winter runs long, the sun disappears for months, and ticks and black flies are part of the deal. We fill that gap with reporting written for this corner of the country.
How we work
We have nothing to sell. No supplements, no programs, no clinic to fill. That independence shapes every piece we publish.
Every health claim we make traces back to a named source: a study, a public health agency, or a credentialed expert. We explain what the research shows and where it stops short. We do not give medical advice or tell you what to take.
Articles are written and edited by the Healthy Mainer Editorial Team.
Healthy Mainer is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before making any health decisions.
